Neon Impressions

The series began unexpectedly while I was searching for stencil ideas for new street-inspired works. During that process, I came across collections of vintage postage stamps and became fascinated by the craftsmanship, symbolism, and detail contained within these small printed images — many of them created more than a century ago.

That discovery became the foundation for Neon Impressions, a body of work that merges historical imagery with the energy of contemporary urban art. Using vintage stamps from around the world as the central subject, each piece is reconstructed through layered digital compositions that combine typography, postmarks, graffiti textures, atmospheric color, and luminous linework.

The title Neon Impressions reflects both the vibrant visual language of the series and its connection to my earlier Neon Love works, where themes of urban decay, street culture, and layered communication first began to emerge.

By transforming these overlooked artifacts of communication into bold contemporary pieces, the series creates a dialogue between history and modern culture — preserving the elegance of the past while reimagining it through a distinctly modern lens.
